So I Closed My Shop and Here I Am...

At the ripe old age age of sixty-one I decided it was time to wind down my full time bike shop store front and operate out of my garage. My plan is to be able to write a lot more and ride my bike while still tinkering with bicycles as I am available. Everything goes according to plan, right?

I have thirteen writing projects in varying stages of completion. Some are a few pages of an idea while some are well on the way to be worthy of an edit and possibly some printing angst in six months or so.

"What are you working on?" I'm glad you asked.

The third in the Gypsies' series is well on the way while the fourth is two years away. I am working on a Gypsies murder mystery novelette, as well. The trilogy has become a tetralogy.

'Spencer, the Haunted Postman' is also quite far along, though a major re-write is necessary as it is something of a patch together draft at best. Spencer seems to be a sentimental favourite by those who have heard about his efforts to re-integrate with people after a lonely life and and his conferences with various ghosts along the way. I love to write about ghosts.

Ghosts are very complex as they can be 'real', appearing in a dream but 'real' or just a dream. My characters like ghosts as they never gossip about your situation with your friends in Wal-Mart or at the hockey game so you can tell them anything and they are dead so they have percieved wisdom for some unknown reason. A ghost can always be depended on to tell the truth. You'll never be led astry by a ghost. "BOOooo...you've been 'punk'd'," is very unlikely from a ghost. It's always 'scouts honour'.

'Old and New' is an on-again, off-again co-writing project that has been around for a couple of years. My co-writer has been very busy with school so progress on this very interesting story will be slow.

So much to write and less excuses.
